Move From Illinois To Texas

 We wanted to move to a new house. We picked Bolingbrook as this area is starting to developed. New houses are being built. We picked one and that became 483 King Arthur Way. Brand new house, brand new neighborhood I even have a brand new car a blue Buick LeSabre and Nicki had a purple Opel. There is an elementary school across the street so Omar just walk over there to school. Bolingbrook will later on became a huge developed area with highways surrounding it. 

Ate Cora and Joe lives in Schaumburg. From highway 54 in Bolingbrook it is a straight drive to Joe's house about 30 miles. Schaumburg at that time is much more developed and more houses than Bolingbrook. Every weekend either we go to Joe to have barbeque, drinking, gambling with them and with friends. Or they drive to us and do the same. Three steady poker players are Joe Mutya and Ruben Saldana. 

Joe enlisted in the US Navy as a doctor and they accepted him. So they have to moved wherever Joe is assigned to. In happended that Joe was assigned to the Philippines. So they have to make this big move to transfer to Clark Base in Pampanga, Philippines. I feel left out. I started to look for another job elsewhere and fount it. It is a company called SAE which stands for System Application Engineering. I saw their ad in the engineering magazine. They responded and called and Nicki for an interview and gave me a job offer. So off we go. Omar had a broken leg in a cast a that time. His last visit to his doctor was a heavy snow fall night and I have to carry him to the doctor's office. I contacted a real agent to sell my house. We packed our belongings. The Opel I shipped by train. The Buick LeSabre I got two guys to drive it to Texas for a small fee as they are using the car to go to Texas. Three of us Nicki, Omar and I took the plane. Laurie from SAE received us and had an apartment already rented. This is at Sandpoint St. Nicki is getting close to give birth to a baby who will be Raymond. The real estate agent called me and there is an offer on our house. The house was sold. Nicki was induced to give birth and Raymond was born March 14, 1978. To this day Ray castigated me for not giving him a third name like Omar. I thought his mother maiden last name Del Rosario would be sufficient. We like Texas so much we stayed there for some 34 years. The weather is similar to Manila and the people were great. We made life lasting friends over there.
